Dear all,
The Cycling and Society Research Group, together with the Portsmouth
Cycling Forum, invite submissions of abstracts for the:
14th Cycling and Society Symposium
7–8 September 2017, Portsmouth, UK
This year's Cycling and Society Symposium will focus on *Cities To Share –
how cycling and society interact. *Please find the Call for Abstracts at our
website
<http://www.cyclingandsociety.org/cycling-society-2017-call-for-abstracts/>.
Portsmouth is a coastal city, a tourist destination and a waypoint on
journeys both near and far. It is flat, compact, and temperate, in theory
perfect for cycling, yet it has been optimized for private motor vehicles.
The dangers of neglecting cycling have been amply demonstrated by recent
tragic accidents. Portsmouth can serve as a prime case study on Cycling and
Society.
We are looking forward to meeting you there.
