On Tuesday 6 June, the Centre for Film and Television research<http://newsletters.bournemouth.ac.uk/t/8TY-4SSYP-OGVX5Z-2MEHHN-1/c.aspx> at Bournemouth University is hosting a panel on Screenwriting Research with international experts in this field. These experts are all members of the board of the international Screenwriting Research Network.<http://newsletters.bournemouth.ac.uk/t/8TY-4SSYP-OGVX5Z-2MEHHO-1/c.aspx>
We would like to invite you to discuss issues relating to Screenwriting Studies and research in relation to all screens, not just TV or cinema.
The event will open with a short Introduction to Screenwriting Studies by Ian MacDonald, Senior Lecturer at Leeds University.
The panel guests will briefly introduce their individual approaches to Screenwriting Research, which includes both traditional and artistic research in an academic context. Apart from Ian MacDonald, we are pleased to welcome Carmen Sofia Brenes (Chile/Uruguay), Virginia Pitts (UK/NZ), Kerstin Stutterheim (UK/Germany), Ronald Geerts (Belgium), and Claus Tieber (Austria).

The discussion will close with a short presentation by Kerstin Stutterheim on Questions & challenges for the future of Screenwriting Studies, followed by a Q&A with the panellists.
