Dear all
Apologies for cross posting.
I wanted to make you aware of a recent blog developed by the RGS-IBG's Postgraduate Forum. We have been compiling blogs of postgraduate geography students for the last 18 months, and are happy to provide a space for PG geographers to post http://www.pgf.rgs.org/phdlife/. If you have any suggestions or submissions for a blog post, please contact Maddy Thompson at [log in to unmask]
In particular, I wanted to draw your attention to one of our latest blogs: 'How to apply for PhD funding?' http://www.pgf.rgs.org/21-how-to-apply-for-phd-funding/. We have had excellent feedback from MA and UG students who have found this guide offers advice that is otherwise difficult to come across unless you have a contact in the know.
We would therefore be grateful if this could be sent to students considering undertaking postgraduate studies within the UK.
Additionally, we also have the most comprehensive list of funding resources for UK postgraduate geographers, and are beginning to develop a similar job section to our website. Both current and prospective postgraduate students may find our funding section invaluable. We include funding for studies, fieldwork, conferences, and miscellaneous funding. http://www.pgf.rgs.org/funding-opportunities/
Best wishes
