Hi Leo,
I think this message refers to the actual classnumber of at least one particle not being found in the star file for the references. A failure to find the datalabel would display a different error. Does the largest classnumber of the particle.star exceed the number of sorting references?

Hi,
I tried to do particle sorting with RELION 2.0.3 on an extracted dataset with a set of 2D classes selected using subset selection. I keep getting this error:
ParticleSorter::calculateFeatures: cannot find class number in input STAR file
However, the class number is definitely there:
