Historic England currently has an opportunity for an Assistant Science Advisor post, located at our Bristol office:
You will be the first point of contact for science advice in the South West, for Inspectors of Ancient Monuments, curators and contractors. Day to day you will undertake capacity-building activities and provide planning application advice to Planning Group colleagues and other casework. Similarly, you will also provide supervised advice to Local Authority archaeological staff in response to developer-funded archaeology and to bodies/agencies such as The Environment Agency and Natural England.
• The temporary post is a fixed term contract from 7th August 2017 until 6th April 2018.
• Salary: £26,658 FTE
