We invite applications for a Post Doctoral Research Associate position to join the StatScale Programme.
StatScale is an exciting collaboration between researchers at Lancaster University and the University of Cambridge. The programme will tackle the important inference challenges arising from streaming data. This multi-million pound research initiative is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the two participating institutions and a number of committed project partners. The programme is led by Idris Eckley, Paul Fearnhead (Lancaster) and John Aston, Richard Samworth (Cambridge).
You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline. You will be experienced in one of more of the following areas: anomaly detection; changepoint analysis; non-stationary time series analysis, high dimensional statistics, statistical-computational tradeoffs, signal processing, image analysis. We are particularly keen to encourage applicants with a background in computational statistics and optimisation methods. Demonstrable ability to produce academic writing of the highest publishable quality is essential.
