The Information Management Service (IMS) at Gloucestershire County Council is responsible for managing over 400,000 files, created as part of the Council’s business and held in the corporate Records Centre.
A vacancy has arisen within the IMS for a part-time Records Centre Assistant. The postholder will contribute to the normal running of the Records Centre, performing a variety of duties including managing accessions; retrieving and returning files as requested by owning departments; and processing file disposals.
This work would be of interest to anyone looking to gain experience in records management, particularly as part of a busy Records Centre.
