Hello list,
Over the summer we're weeding our print periodicals. The last time this was carried out at our institution was 2013 and there isn't a lot of documentation about the process in my handover notes so I'm keen to hear from colleagues about weeding criteria at their institutions.
For now we're only looking to get rid of print volumes covering years we have had an electronic subscription as well. As such I'm particularly keen to know if you have sought confirmation of post-cancellation dates from publishers and how you approached this.
I was excited to read about the JISC Collections: Post-Cancellation Entitlement Registry scoping project. If there have been any developments in rolling out an entitlement registry I'd be keen to hear about them.
Happy to collate answers off list and share.
Best,
Angus
