Dear colleagues,
We're pleased to announce a further introductory workshop for Archive Service Accreditation applicants, to be held 23 May at the National Railway Museum, in collaboration with ARA Northern region. It's part of a series of ARA regional workshops which aim to take the fear out of Archive Service Accreditation, ensuring participants understand what is being asked of them, how the Accreditation can help and how to approach some areas that might be less familiar. You will leave with the beginnings of an action plan for your own application, having met with others facing the same challenges for some mutual support. The session also includes the now-infamous Collections Management Bingo, from which all shall have prizes!
If your service is considering making an application, you're welcome to attend. Accreditation is open to archive services of many different types, including those in museums, businesses and charities. Even if you're at an early stage in planning, do feel free to join us.
Please note, this workshop is in addition to that offered by ARA North West region on 17 May at Liverpool John Moores University, which has already been advertised through the listserv.
