This year's event emphasises practical ideas and opportunities that delegates can bring back to their job role and organisation, including:
* Knowledge and skills to inform planning and improvements
* Devising strategies and business cases
* Supporting business decisions with evidence
* A range of marketing tools to engage users
* Effective tools to deliver CPD
* Ideas and strategies to improve the skills of staff
* Career development for all levels, from those starting out to experienced practitioners
Expert-led topical workshops include copyright, marketing, equalities and increasingly important impact and evaluation. 'Future Trends' is a new strand aimed at Heads of Service and decision makers, anticipating key changes to support planning and preparation. High level seminars look at service design, managing information, literacy, learning and using data. 'Your Career' brings focused sessions for those starting out, as well as tailored career advice sessions and practical guidance around dealing with change and being a good communicator.
As you already know, the opening keynote is Dr Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, who is the first African American and first female to be appointed to the prestigious role and she is followed by Professor Luciano Floridi, Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford.
Special rates are also available for groups of 4 or more.
