We were made aware, but decided against joining - we don't have many Ingenta subs and it's not worth it. Also, it's setting a bad precedent!

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Ingenta connect Library Membership
Hello all,
I have just tried to update some of our authentication details on the Ingenta connect platform and have found that where we have previously had institutional authentication via shibboleth this is now only available if we take 'Library Membership' at an additional cost to our subscriptions.
This seems to have been introduced in late 2016 and I am not quite sure how/why we weren't made aware of it previously.
I would be interested to know on/off list experiences elsewhere - were you made aware of this change and have you decide for or against taking membership?
Many thanks,
Verity
