Symposium – sacrality and mobility: new perspectives

This one-day interdisciplinary symposium brings together researchers examining questions about the sacred and mobility. In particular, the symposium considers the following themes:
• Pilgrimage, sacred sites, and encounter;
• The mobility and exchange of sacred notions;
• Diaspora, migration, and faith;
• The rediscovery and reinterpretation of pilgrimage;
• Technology, connectivity and digital pilgrimage;
• Mobility, hospitality, and pilgrimage.
The symposium takes the form of six papers and a keynote with discussion, bringing together researchers from a range of disciplinary backgrounds and contexts to consider debates intersecting mobility and the sacred.
