Library and Learning Spaces Temporary Cataloguer (Special Collections)
Salary: £14.74 per hour (£26,829 pro rata)

Liverpool Hope University are looking for a temporary cataloguer to classify and create catalogue records for a donation of approximately eight hundred 20th-21st century monographs on our library management system. The position also requires sorting and cataloguing of a number of archival papers, mainly correspondence and reports, accompanying the donation. The donation belonged to Dr Lois Louden, Education Advisor for Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education and The North Lancashire District of the Methodist Church, and the collection is concerned with Education and Church Schools. The Culham Gabriel Trust is funding this project.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of cataloguing experience and must also have experience of classify using the Dewey Decimal classification scheme. Experience of sorting and cataloguing archival material would be desirable.
This is a part-time, fixed term contract position for a period of 220 hours over 11 weeks to start the week commencing 15th May 2017 and running until the end of July 2017.
Interviews will take place on the morning of Monday 8th May.
