Hi everyone,
Following a successful bid to the Social Policy Association small grant programme,
Swansea University will host a cross-sector workshop on Wed 5 April, 10am-3.30pm. The
purpose is to reflect on a year of implementation of the Social Services and
Well-Being (Wales) Act, which came into force in April 2016. The event is open to
anyone and everyone with an interest in social services in Wales, and we are keen to
welcome a mix of service users, staff, academics, government personnel, and others.
The day will feature a range of presentations from academic researchers and Welsh
Government personnel, balanced equally by constructive dialogue among attendees. On
that point, we are planning a few experiments on the day to encourage people to talk
together in new ways.
The Swansea University web page for the event is here: https://goo.gl/m2L1hP. The
registration form (also linked on that page) is here:
https://goo.gl/forms/rfESxFm2SmC0Ccep2. There is no registration fee, and lunch is
laid on. As above, all are welcome to attend, though places are limited so please
register to secure your place.
And please do share this email with anyone who you feel may be interested.
If you have any questions, please contact me or my co-host Gideon Calder:
