Dear Colleagues,
On Saturday, May 20, 2017 the 2nd Annual Southern California Theoretical Chemistry Symposium (SoCal TheoChem 2.0) will be held on the campus of the University of California, Irvine. This one-day event will serve as a testimony of the vitality and high concentration of research groups engaged in theoretical chemistry in the SoCal geographical area.
The primary goal of this symposium is to provide a focused outlet for researchers to present their work to their colleagues, to network and build professional relationships, and to create a stronger community among theoretical chemistry researchers in Southern California.
Please forward this information to anyone who you think may be interested, and encourage your undergraduate, graduate students, and postdocs to attend. There will be prizes for the best posters...and food (and especially coffee) will be provided throughout the day.
We are asking for volunteers from the PI’s to be judges for the poster session. To volunteer, please indicate so in the registration comments; you can also reply to this email directly.
There is no registration fee for the Symposium. However, we ask that you do register to allow planning for the lunch, breaks, and parking. The deadline for registration is May 1st, 2017.
More information can be found at the SoCal TheoChem 2.0 website:
