We don't work with Bridge so obviously would prefer if we organise our own trip for them to come to the UK. However, I realise a number of you work with Bridge and would understand if you decided to go with them.

Could we perhaps ask the school counsellors if they are taking part in the bridge tour?

Dear Rolf,
I hope all is well.
I am emailing you regarding the UCAS trip that we are planning for school counselors from a number of top International schools in Jordan.
The main objectives of the trip would be to:

  *   Introduce the counselors to the university and in turn to help polish their counseling skills, and add value to their given advice, as they are our main point of contact with the students.
  *   Develop professional relationships between the school counselors and requested UK partner institutions.
  *   Provide the counselors with up-to-date information on future university plans, such as added courses, campus improvements, research investments, accommodation updates, etc.
  *   Provide the counselors with an opportunity to express their views on current issues, which may affect the students' final destination. This would give the university a clearer idea on how to recruit more students and meet their demands.
  *   Provide the counselors with the opportunity to visit and meet with already-enrolled students attending the universities.
For those universities that may wish to consider this trip, which is a good opportunity for developing strategic links between the universities and key schools, the cost of the trip for one counselor is approximately £1200, which will cover the following:

  *   International return ticket to and from the UK.
  *   Accommodation (B&B, preferably campus accommodation) for one night for the group.
  *   Partial cost of UK local transport for the group.
Bridge International will cover the following for ALL counselors:

  *   Local transportation to and from the airport in Jordan.
  *   Airport tax in Jordan.
  *   Visa arrangements including visa fees.
  *   Per diem which will be allocated for each counselor.
  *   Two nights' accommodation in London for the group (during arrival or departure).
As for the suggested time period for the trip, we would recommend November/ December 2017. We propose to include seven counselors from different key schools, accompanied by two counselors from Bridge International in the trip.
