So AROMA is designed to perform ‘Automatic Removal Of Motion Artefacts’, i.e. it’s not aimed at removing eg the multi band artefact. Given that in MB data these artefacts are quite dominant then I would not expect ICA-AROMA to do a good job _unless_ you first clean up the MB artefact with e.g ICA-FIX. Did you remove MB artefacts first?
