Calling all emerging researchers of cyberspace!

The Cyber Network Conference (#CNC17) will take place on 11-12 September 2017 at the College of Law & Criminology, Swansea University.

The CNC17 will be an interdisciplinary event, bringing together new researchers of cyberspace. It will offer PhD and Early Career Researchers the opportunity to share their research in a supportive environment and develop new avenues for collaboration.

The organising team invites contributions across four themes:
1. Security & Privacy: the impact of new technologies on security and privacy for governments, businesses and individuals;
2. Health & Social Care: how technology impacts on health and social care now and in the future;
3. Services & Goods: the role of technology to facilitate access to, and provision of, services and goods; and,
4. Participation & Space: digital technologies and their impact on social inclusion, democracy and attachment to physical places.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their research with others through a variety of mediums. These include:
• Presenting your research (or brainstorm a research idea) during one of the breakout sessions;
• Exhibiting a research poster as part of the poster competition; and,
• Presenting a 3 minute ‘pecha-kucha’ style presentation and entering the respective competition at the Research Café.

This event is organised by a team of PhD/early career researchers who hope to create a strong collegiate network of people researching the cyber-sphere in years to come. If you are interested in participating, please fill in this Expression of Interest Form by the 31st of May 2017: https://goo.gl/forms/cAqX7wliovI1oG0t2

Come along to
* share new research in a supportive environment
* meet and become a part of like-minded researchers of cyberspace
* discover cutting edge research

Presentations will last 25 minutes (with an additional five minutes allocated for questions). Presenters do not pay the conference fee.

We are also looking for a small number of volunteers to help on the day. If you are interested, please e-mail [log in to unmask] or fill in the Expression of Interest Form (volunteers do not pay the conference fee).
