Registration Open
We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the
international two day conference on Caribbean Carnival Cultures on 19 - 21
May 2017 at Leeds Beckett University.
Hosted by the Centre for Culture and the
Arts<http://leedsbeckettuniversity.cmail19.com/t/t-l-hkdjult-bwdiittr-j/> in
partnership with Leeds West Indian Carnival the conference will coincide
with the fiftieth year of the Leeds West Indian Carnival, the oldest
Caribbean street carnival in Europe. Registration and booking for the
conference is now open. Places are limited, so please book early using this
link to avoid disappointment:

The fees include lunch and refreshments on Friday and Saturday and the Civic
Reception with the Lord Mayor on Saturday evening (including dinner,
entertainment and drinks).
The conference is shaping up to be an excellent event with a global scope
involving leading national and international academics and artists in the
field and founding members of the Caribbean Carnival in Leeds, UK. A draft
copy of the conference schedule and abstract booklet is now available on our
conference website. These are both provisional and subject to change:
