NIHR MSc Studentships in Medical Statistics
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Three National Institute for Health Research (NIHR; http://www.nihr.ac.uk) funded studentships are available for the 2017-18 academic year. These studentships are funded by the National Institute for Health Research, and have been made available with the aim of building research capacity in medical statistics; they will be targeted towards students who are planning to go on to work in areas of benefit to the National Health Service.
There will be two deadlines for applications - one studentship will be awarded in April and two in June. Early application is recommended. Unsuccessful applicants for the April award will automatically be reconsidered for the June award.
The competition for these studentships is high, and applicants are strongly encouraged to seek alternative funding should their application be unsuccessful.
Award & Eligibility
The studentships are open to UK and EU applicants only. Each studentship covers tuition fees at the Home/EU fee rate and a stipend (a tax free living allowance). The 2017-18 stipend rate is still to be confirmed. The 2016-17 annual stipend rate is GBP 16,296.00.
