The Safe System approach to road safety management is being adopted by an increasing number of agencies, cities and jurisdictions as the basis for casualty reduction both in the UK and internationally. Safe System addresses the safety of all road users, builds on existing best practice in road safety management, and involves a wider shared responsibility for preventing avoidable death and serious injury in road crashes.
This two-day course on 11-12 April 2017 at Loughborough University is designed to support professionals from the many sectors and disciplines involved in road safety and road traffic injury prevention, both in public and private sectors. Assisted by colleagues who are deeply involved in the implementation of Safe System overseas, we aim to facilitate the understanding of the Safe System goal and strategy and what is involved in its broad implementation in transport, planning, highway, vehicle, health, insurance, enforcement, education and research fields.
It will be of interest to road safety policymakers, practitioners and other stakeholders both in the UK and internationally. You will find the programme at http://t.co/sLAElwzwax and can register http://t.co/7s6NJ6Kx7G. Do contact [log in to unmask] for further details.
Thanks very much
