A Post Doctoral Research Associate Post is available at the Open University working with the Agile Research Network
The Agile Research Network (ARN) is a collaboration between researchers at two UK universities (the OU and UCLan) at the forefront of investigating Agile methodologies. As Agile methodologies mature and become mainstream it is important to understand what implications and influences they have on organisations and individuals, and to assess the scope and nature of their effectiveness. ARN seeks to work closely with practitioners in their place of work to gain such insights and then disseminate findings to both practitioner and research audiences. You will work alongside Agile Business Consortium (ABC) Members, and other ARN members to develop and implement an evaluation and development programme for the evolving ABC framework. The requirements will evolve over the sub-project duration, but will include the evaluation of a pilot implementation of the framework and investigations into the feasibility of including a self-evaluation element to the framework. This self-evaluation will allow the business to determine the level of success of their designed change.
You will hold a PhD (or be near completion) in a relevant subject area. You will have knowledge of business change, and experience of designing and/or running evaluation project, preferably in business change. You will have experience of publishing in internationally leading journals, and the ability to work independently as a researcher.
