I admit that I only got a couple of minutes into it before deciding it wasn’t worth another fifteen minutes of my life. If anyone thinks he made an important (or even valid) point, let me know and I’ll listen to the rest.
Watson seems pretty certain about his view of the change in pop culture as represented by the past two decades for someone who seems to be barely more than two decades old. That’s not to say that people can’t research the world before they were born but considering the fact that the guy lists his position as London editor of infowars—an unhinged conspiracy site—I’m not sure I’d look to him for accurate historical research.
I’m also not sure why he thinks academic marxism, cultural relativism, and the rest of his list of travesties kicked in twenty years ago. I would have thought that the late '90s was when his list of evils was on a downward trajectory (although I’m certain I won’t find universal agreement on that, to say the least.) Maybe he means the erosion already caused by critical theory made the Kardashians inevitable.
