Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to invite you and your students to submit abstracts to give a talk in a mini-symposium at the 72nd annual International Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy (ISMS), to be held June 19-23, 2017 at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
This mini-symposium, titled “Spectroscopy and Dynamics on Multiple Potential Energy Surfaces”, is designed to provide a platform to bring together researchers in the fields of high-resolution spectroscopy, ultrafast spectroscopy, and computational chemistry who share the common interest of vibronic interactions between multiple potential energy surfaces. It will cover different experimental and computational aspects including but not limited to vibronic spectroscopy, conical intersection dynamics, photoisomerization, and photodissociation. The invited speakers are Robert W. Field (MIT), Roseanne J. Sension (University of Michigan), John F. Stanton (University of Florida)
We hope that this meeting will encourage the exchange of ideas and stimulate development of experimental, theoretical, and computational methods for the investigation of the intricate energy level structure and dynamics processes due to coupling between different potential energy surfaces. We strongly encourage student and postdoc participation.
The deadline for ISMS abstract submission is March 1. We encourage you to submit abstracts at your earliest convenience. When submitting your abstract, please choose “Multiple Potential Energy Surfaces” from the drop-down menu under “Abstract Details”. Please feel free to contact either of us if you have any questions.
More information about ISMS is available at the symposium website: http://isms.illinois.edu.
Thank you for your participation and continuous support of ISMS. We look forward to seeing you in June!
Best regards,
Jinjun Liu, University of Louisville, [log in to unmask]
