Our Museum is in the process of moving our computing from applications
and services on various laptops to a cloud-based solution based on
Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. As a registered charity we
are eligible for donations from Microsoft for these two services.
Microsoft Azure does support DNS but does not yet support DNSSEC. It
would be interesting to know if other museums (especially with a .com
address) make use of DNSSEC and, if they do, which DNS service provider
they use. I think the following support DNSSEC:
* Dyn (http://dyn.com/blog/understanding-dnssec/)
* GoDaddy (https://uk.godaddy.com/help/dnssec-faq-6135)
* IronDNS (https://www.irondns.net/technology/dnssec.faces)
* Verisign
(https://www.verisign.com/en_GB/domain-names/dnssec/index.xhtml)
Other suppliers may be available. Our DNS traffic is likely to be
modest and we would be particularly interested a low cost service and
any with discounts for non-profits.
I would also be interested to know if any museums are using DANE
(DNS-based Authentication of Named Entities).
Many thanks
