Hello there and sorry for posting this to multiple lists that you might be subscribed to,
I'm putting together a session on referencing and plagiarism for first year undergraduate students and I want to give an overview of the range of free plagiarism detection tools out there, how they work, the pros and cons of using them, that sort of thing.
As an institution we have Turnitin, but not all submission points are set up to allow students to submit for an originality report before final submission.
I'm interested to know if anyone else includes information on the freely available plagiarism tools as part of student sessions or on their webpages/libguides or any other means and if so, to what level of detail.
I'll be sure to summarise and circulate responses that I get.
Thanks,
Emma
