I have  1D and 2D finite difference excel spreadsheets inspired by the original contact and thicken programs that I use in basic petrology classes to illustrate the evolution of metamorphism related to various tectonic settings.

 They have embedded graphs that plot T-t, P-t and P-T history as the calculation proceeds which show students how P and T evolve in time and space for a particular set of spatial, temporal and boundary conditions.  

They are pretty easy to customize if you know a little about Excel macros and Visual Basic, although as Harold mentions it is possible to change something that takes some expertise to correct.  

Anyone who is interested for a copy please email me.  However, I use these in an active learning classroom so written instructions are minimal.
