Event Futures: innovation, creativity and collaboration

Reminder of deadline for abstracts 1st of March 2017
The Welsh Centre for Tourism Research<https://www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/management/research/wctr/Pages/default.aspx>, Cardiff Metropolitan University is proud to be hosting the 14th annual Association for Events Management Education<http://www.aeme.org/> (AEME) Forum at the Cardiff School of Management. We invite submissions from scholars and practitioners from the multitude of disciplines involved in the field of event studies and event management.
The overarching theme of the conference is Event Futures, and we openly invite submissions on all of the following themes:
* Event stakeholders, impacts and evaluation.
* Event design, technology and innovation.
* Consumers, co-creation and the event experience.
* Event education and pedagogy.
* Future directions in event research.
* Inclusivity and accessibility for events.

Deadline for abstracts:
Wednesday 1st of March 2017
Early bird tickets deadline:
Monday 3rd of April 2017
Delegate registration deadline:
Monday 5th of June 2017

The conference programme is rapidly evolving with a number of key note academic and industry speakers and panels confirmed. On the social side, we are pleased to announce that the conference Gala Dinner is to be held at the prestigious SSE Swalec Stadium host of the Ashes in 2015.
Abstract submissions
Abstracts should be 300-350 words and structured as follows:
· Biography for each author: 100-150 words stating current position, main research interests, key publications and contact details.
· Full title of paper (as it will appear in the conference programme).
· Abstract main body, including background (outline of the context and/or academic literature informing the research), approach (indication of the broad theoretical orientation and/or methodological approach) and significance (description and application of the original research findings reported in the paper).
· Most relevant conference theme<https://www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/management/aeme2017/Pages/default.aspxhttps:/www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/management/aeme2017/Pages/default.aspx>.
· Bibliographic references for any research cited in the abstract
