The School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney is looking to grow its research capabilities in the area of smart cities, with a focus on integrative and multidisciplinary research that builds on the existing research strengths in the school as well as other parts of the University. These smart city research strengths include, but are not limited to, digital placemaking, smart mobility, smart buildings, liveability, urban interaction design and urban data analytics. We are seeking a self-motivated and well-qualified researcher to conduct theoretical and applied research in this area. The appointee’s research focus is expected to be in one or a combination of smart mobility, smart governance, and smart infrastructure. It is further expected that the research outcomes will have implications for industry, government or community organisations.
