*Master’s program in Anthropology of CEE at the Institute of Anthropology
at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Application procedure
opens on 01 March 2017.*
The Institute of Anthropology at the University in Poznań (AMU) launches
its new Master’s program in Anthropology of Central and Eastern Europe this
year. Application will be possible from 01 March 2017 on.
*The Anthropology of CEE Master’s Program at AMU is reflexive, empirical,
interdisciplinary, and research oriented.*
From nationalism, migration to medicine, from problems of growth and
de-growth to energy and environment, as well as visual anthropological
representation of social and cultural issues – the big challenges of
todays’ societies have become an inseparable part of anthropological
reflection and study. *The Master’s program Anthropology of CEE is focused
in particular on changes taking place in societies with socialist legacies.
The program will teach you how to reflexively research, develop
problem-solving skills and critically intervene in the great issues of our
time.*
*In the Master’s program you will learn:*
· Anthropological approaches to urgent questions about changes in CEE
societies
· Ethnographic research methods, anthropological theories and analytical
skills to study problems of migration, populism, medicine, growth,
environment and energy
*The Anthropology of CEE Master’s program is research oriented.* The
program offers an opportunity to do ethnography in Poland and other
countries in the CEE region, it prepares you for future academic research
(such as a PhD), as well as careers in public policy, civil society
organizations, journalism and visual media, public administration, social
work, education and cultural education.
Studying the *Anthropology of CEE Master’s program* will equip you to deal
with the challenges and to embrace the opportunities of todays’ changing
societies.

- *Application procedure* is organized in two stages: in the first stage
please send your CV, a motivation letter with your research interests (up
to 800 words) and a certificate of English language skills by email to Dr.
