The Department of Sociological Studies, University of Sheffield has a major

We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate or Research Fellow to work
in a research team led by Dr Hannah Lewis on an Economic and Social
Research Council (ESRC)funded project Understanding the Role of Faith Based
Organisations in Anti-Trafficking. The project will investigate faith-based
organisations’ growing role in tackling human trafficking and modern
slavery in England. You will be part of this prestigious ESRC funded
research team, conducting innovative research to offer significant new
knowledge with the potential to improve anti-trafficking practice and to
help build secure futures for trafficked individuals.
The successful applicant will have or be near to completing a doctoral
degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Sociology, Human Geography, Religious
Studies, Anthropology) or equivalent experience, preferably applied to
migration or the study of religion as well as experience of use of
qualitative research methods including interview skills and, preferably,
experience of working with ‘vulnerable’ populations and use of visual and
textual analysis.
