Dear All,
I know this has probably been discussed here before, but what mechanisms do UKAS find acceptable for competency assessment of users of POCT?
We have a 'self-assessment' form for several devices, where we ask 'can you/do you' questions on key areas of knowledge that are simply answered yes or no. Is this acceptable?
I have seen other question and written answer/multiple choice formats used elsewhere. Should we be moving towards this?
Is a practical demonstration of competence required?
Thanks in advance,
Amy
