Well, in general, the site won't have permissions to modify the VO's LFC
entries (which embed the SE head node DN).

Thankfully not yet, but (wearing MICE hat) from the VO side I would feed
the list of affected LFNs through a shell script that calls lcg-rf and
lcg-uf in turn for each entry. (Presumably gfal2 equivalents exist...)

The other option is for the LFC admin to do the clever stuff straight on
the database; posh-chocolate making skills could then be quite useful for
bribery...er, persuasion purposes!
