netCommons - http://netcommons.eu - is a three year EU project that
develops a transdisciplinary methodology for promoting and supporting
the creation of network infrastructures as commons, for resilience,
sustainability, democracy, self-determination, and social integration.
As part of the netCommons London meeting, the project invites the public
to an event, at which we will discuss the opportunities and challenges
of building communities with the help of information and communication
technologies.
Claire Wallace, professor of sociology at the University of Aberdeen,
and Adam Burns, a long-time community network practitioner, will share
their insights into networked communication infrastructure.
