The iron graveslab marking the burial of Anne Forster of Crowhurst,
Surrey, in 1591/2 bears an epitaph that asserts her claim to be the heir
of her father who had, instead, left his estate to his half-brother.
Can any list members cite other examples of epitaphs in this period
where similar claims to inheritance have been made?
Any help will be much appreciated
