On the 50th anniversary of the advent of the paradigm of plate tectonics, this three day meeting is convened to examine the state of the art and scope out new directions.
*Call for Papers*
This Call for Papers is for contributions that complement the array of invited speakers - reporting recent research on any aspect of tectonics and the associated disciplines that together feed into understanding the plate system and processes. We can accept contributions for talks and posters.
Registration and abstract submission forms are available via the conference web-site. The deadline for abstract submission is *31st May 2017* but we encourage submission and registration as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
*William Smith Lecture*
The conference will be drawn to a close by the 2017 William Smith lecture, delivered by Dan McKenzie.

There will be a conference dinner at Al Duca restaurant on Thursday 5 October 2017 at 7pm/7.30pm. The cost is £80 per person and includes a 3 course meal, half a bottle of wine, water and tea and coffee. To book a place, please select this option when registering for the meeting.
