I did some more work on this last days. Visually checked, (127-1)*(0.688/2) for topup and (0.688/2) for epireg seems to give acceptable results. Acceleration factor was 2 (so you have to divide 0.688 by the acceleration factor). It is not clear yet how ipat affects the effective echo spacing.

I happen to be looking into the same issue, also on a GE system (Discovery MR750). Martijn, what DICOM line gave you your effective echo spacing value of .688? How about the accel factor? I checked the line mentioned by Niels for eff echo spacing (0043 102c) and have a value of 712 with no human-readable label or units. So either it's not in ms or my GE uses a different line than Martijn's.
