Universities UK are delighted to launch our first national one-day conference on graduate employability and skills. It will be held on 17 May 2017 at Woburn House in central London. You can view the event here: http://bit.ly/2jilCXn
In autumn 2016, the Department for Education released an experimental dataset linking together education, tax and benefits records. The Longitudinal Educational Outcomes (LEO) data tells us what proportion of graduates are employed and what their median earnings are at different points of time after leaving higher education.
This dataset, combined with the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and White Paper, throws a spotlight on employability and skills. More than ever, you need to be able to show the graduate outcomes of your students and the impact that they have on your local and the national economy.
This conference will discuss the policy landscape surrounding graduate employability and skills, including the LEO data, the TEF and the wider skills agenda. The day will be a chance to examine the impact of policy developments on your institution, find out how best to make use of the new information to target your efforts where they are most needed, and how to demonstrate the graduate outcomes and impact of your students.
There are limited early bird places available. Book now to take advantage of the early bird price and plan your effective graduate employability and skills strategy with policy makers, influencers and colleagues from across the sector: http://bit.ly/2jilCXn
Best wishes
