ABOUT THE SPEAKER: John Barber is a fellow of King's College Cambridge. He is the author of “Soviet Historians in Crisis, 1928-32”, co-author (with Mark Harrison) of “The Soviet Home Front, 1941-45: A Social and Economic History of the USSR in World War II” (Longman, 1991), co-editor (with Mark Harrison) of “The Soviet Defence-Industry Complex from Stalin to Khrushchev” (Pelgrave Macmillan, 1999) and co-editor (with Andrei Dzeniskevich) of “Life and Death in Besieged Leningrad” (Pelgrave Macmillan, 2004).

Дмитрий Турчанинов окончил актёрский факультет Литовской академии музыки и театра и магистратуру режиссёрского факультета школы-студии МХАТ. Играл в Русском драматическом театре Литвы, исполнял главную роль в шоу “Прогулка с динозаврами”, созданную при поддержке BBC Worldwide в Санкт-Петербурге в 2009 году. Поставил спектакли «Школа Злословия» в Саратовском Театре Юного Зрителя и «Кабаре Надежды» в Вильнюсе.



Monthly cost: about £40-£50 (depending on the number of participants).

Due to the increased number of students Cambridge Russian Academy has a new vacancy for the position of teacher of Russian Language and Literature.



Requirements: higher philological education, teaching experience.

Desirable qualities: creative, positive, responsible and enthusiastic, passionate about their specialist subject, happy to work as part of the small-scale professional and friendly team.

Work load: one day per week (on Saturdays), number of hours by agreement.
