The 2017 AAATE Congress is a 5-day event about Assistive Technologies and will take place from 11-15th September 2017. The main Conference will be from 13-14th September and Satellite Events are running on the other three days at venues in Sheffield (UK).
If you are interested in presenting at the conference, the Call for Papers for the AAATE2017 Conference is open until 4pm GMT on 10th February 2017. You can submit a short paper on topics relevant to assistive or enabling technology as well as services that make use of such technologies. The conference will feature 35 Special Thematic Sessions. Share your new knowledge or call for action in the domains of learning, communication, mobility, self-care, domestic life, relationships, employment and civic life.
If you have a particular interest in digital accessibility please consider submitting a paper to our session on Digital Accessibility for an Information Society which will explore ideas around innovation and service provision to improve:
- accessibility of e-text and ebook resources
- the design of digitally controlled and online, connected devices
- accessible information provision by education, workplace and public service providers
- access for elderly and those with cognitive impairments.
- awareness and understanding of digital accessibility in support services, education providers and the design and technology professions.
