Wirral Council are recruiting a GIS Officer £29,559 - £31,845
(36 hours per week, permanent)
Role and responsibilities include: To implement, maintain and support corporate GIS, mapping, and spatial data service. Implementing authority policy. Providing training for users. Undertake GIS projects using MapInfo Prof to create data, maps, and/or visualisations. Data capture, preparing and maintaining datasets, performing geographic and location analysis, geocoding, writing spatial data queries using SQL, and thematic mapping. Understanding of Inspire directive, and a working knowledge of the Local Government Transparency Code. You must also be able to understand the requirements of the Local Address and Street Gazetteers.
