Couldn't agree more. I'm all for not supporting the milk companies but band 5, 6 and even 7 midwives don't get paid enough these days to justify huge costs for study seminars and conferences. NHS trusts can't spare the funds to send staff so many midwives either do without or opt to attend 'free' ones.
