Research Fellow in Social Care: 3 posts
Closing date: 12th January 2017
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a Wellcome Trust funded study about older people’s experiences of self-funded social care. We are seeking to appoint three full-time 36 month fixed term Research Fellows to join this collaborative project between the University of Brighton, the University of Birmingham and the University of Lincoln.
The project takes an innovative approach to researching self-funding through co-production with older people and knowledge exchange with key stakeholders. It is a collaboration between academics, social care commissioners, providers, practitioners and older people in three research sites: Brighton & Hove, Solihull and Lincolnshire. It will illuminate ethical dimensions of self-funded care by bringing older people’s lived experiences to the fore and contextualise these by seeking the views of care services’ commissioners and providers and family/friends who support older self-funders.
The Research Fellow based at the University of Birmingham will undertake fieldwork in Solihull as part of a team led by Dr Denise Tanner. For further details and to apply visit: http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/staff/jobs/index.aspx
The Research Fellow based at the University of Brighton will undertake fieldwork in Brighton and Hove as part of a team led by Dr Lizzie Ward. For further details and to apply visit: https://jobs.brighton.ac.uk/HOLDING-16-443

You will be committed to co-producing knowledge through collaborative research relationships, ongoing learning and reflective practice.
