Job opportunity – Communications Assistant at The Institute of Cancer Research, London
Hello all
The Institute of Cancer Research, London, is one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual to take an important administrative role in our highly respected Communications directorate.
You will work within the Media Relations team to collate together media coverage, help analyse the effectiveness of our press activities and round up the main stories for the wider organisation. You will also provide general administrative support for the Communications directorate and support the work of the Director of Communications.
This is a role that would suit a committed individual who would enjoy the challenge of working within a busy media team, and be excited at the chance to work for a top-class scientific organisation. The role will be primarily administrative, but it will require good written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with many different people within the organisation, including senior scientists. A background in science would be helpful, and the ability to juggle tasks, organise work and meet tight deadlines is essential.
