Hello all
We are working with a teaching institution located 30 minutes north of London to help them recruit for an Academic Librarian for a 3-6 month contract.
The Librarian will provide guidance to library users on how to access and effectively interrogate a range of digital library resources. The Librarian will also work in collaboration with faculties, contributing to learning design and integrating library content into the curriculum to support re-use; additionally to make digital literacy, information literacy and employability skills an integral part of the curriculum. The Librarian will be expected to work flexibly and focus in detail on several of the following disciplines: academic liaison, e-resources and content support, authoring new content for the library’s online services, delivering training and development, and enquiry services.
This job would suit a qualified Librarian (or equivalent practical experience) with a background in student engagement and in providing library services in an academic context. Proven experience of working with e-resources is essential in order to succeed in this job, while a background in delivering library services remotely would be a distinct advantage.
This job is a good opportunity for an experienced academic Librarian to work as part of an effective centralised library service providing a range of services to a wide variety of library users. If you enjoy helping people find the information they are looking for and making sure that the library resources are well used then this could be the job for you.
Job pay rate £16.40 per hour
