Dear Scholars,
We want to thank all of you who have already submitted their abstracts in advance of the deadline of December 1, 2016. Your enthusiasm for participating in the International Conference on Tourism, Ethics and Global Citizenship is much appreciated! We have also received quite a number of requests to extend the Call for Abstracts due to various reasons. Thus, to ensure that nobody is left out, the deadline for abstract submission has been extended to December 20, 2016. We hope that this will give those who require it additional time to finalise their abstracts.
The conference aims to strengthen the academic and professional networks that are necessary to push forward the discussions of tourism’s manifold intersections with existing and emergent ethical approaches and forms of citizenship, and to discuss these concepts to apply new insights in our research, policy documents and daily practices. The conference takes place on 3-6 July 2017 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands and will host keynote presentations by several prominent scholars in the field, including Claudio Minca, Clare Weeden, Raoul Bianchi and Angela Benson.
