We currently have an opening for a 2-year postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London
The Associate will join project VOILA, a consortium of five UK universities and international partners (www.voila.ac.uk <http://www.voila.ac.uk/>). The aim of the post is to improve our understanding of the role of fluids insubduction-mantle wedge processes through numerical modelling and comparison with seismic, petrological and geochemical data collected by the consortium for the Lesser Antilles Arc
The successful candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Geophysics, or a closely related field, with experience in numerical modelling of mantle and/or lithospheric dynamics. Experience with petrological data and thermodynamic modelling, use of seismic data and/or geochemical data is desirable. The appointed researcher is expected to actively work as part of the VoiLA team.
Closing date for the applications is 15 February 2017.
The preferred starting date is Summer 2017.
