Dear List
Please excuse my ignorance. Is right that you can become an SQP without becoming a SILC or will there be little difference in assessment for either accreditation? I can't find any guidance on the SILC website for non-SILCs who want to apply for SQP at the moment. Does anybody know whether this will be updated soon?
Cheers
James

Dear List
Readers (and existing SiLCs) will be interested to know that the SilC to SQP conversion course details have been published on the SiLC web pages.
http://www.silc.org.uk/mark-scheme/
Readers will note that the course comprises a set of slides and a 16 question 45minute open book on-line test, with a pass mark of 12 out of 16. If the applicant fails first time he/she can re-sit the exam straightaway or take further time to prepare. - Good luck everyone!
Best regards, David
PS Readers may be interested to know that my daughter passed her AS German this week after 18 months of study, three written exams, a listening exam and a speaking exam, achieving a very notable B grade (75%) - Congratulations!
