The Child Welfare Inequalities Project is holding a conference highlighting many of the key findings from its Nuffield funded project on 28th February, 2017 in London. There will be presentations from the researchers on the project highlighting the quantitative findings from the four countries and as the qualitative findings from case-studies in England and Scotland.
The speakers from the project will include Professors Paul Bywaters, Brigid Daniel, Brid Featherstone, Kate Morris, Jonathan Scourfield and Drs Lisa Bunting, Will Mason and Nughmana Mirza.
Dr Cindy Blackstock from Canada will offer an international perspective on the interaction between child protection systems and marginalised populations. Families' perspectives on how poverty is addressed within child protection practices will be provided by ATD 4th World and 'Annie' who blogs on her experience and is also a trainer and advocate.
