The University of Edinburgh will make a substantial number of appointments in the Mathematical Sciences as part of an ambitious plan for the School of Mathematics, which includes expansion into part of the new £40M Bayes’ Centre.
As part of this development, we are appointing a Lecturer in Industrial Mathematics to start on 1 August 2017 or by agreement. We are seeking a candidate with a track record of high quality research in the Mathematical Sciences and with existing connections to and a demonstrable impact on industry or business. The successful candidate will be able to join groups in Applied & Computational Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Operational Research and Statistics, each of which is already collaborating with industry, business and other disciplines. The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching.
This post is full time and open-ended and is available from August 2017.
Salary: £39,324 - £46,924 per annum. Exceptionally, appointment may be to Reader for which the salary is £49,772 - £55,998 per annum.
